Comedian Katherine Ryan has revealed she bought her daughter Violet a personalised sparkly lavender car for her 17th birthday. The 42-year-old shared an emotional post on Instagram alongside a photo of Violet with the vehicle.

In the post, Ryan wrote: 'The Favourite is 17. I’ve been proud of you, Violet since before you could roll over and look at you now! Singing, acting, dancing, writing, working, *LIVING LAUGHING LOVING* slaying. More charming and tougher and smarter and better than I am in every way HALLELUJAH.' She also noted the car had a specialist wrap, adding: '(car wrap b6 @magic_automotive is actually a different colour but we didn’t want to show it until the police reports come rolling in). YOU TRY DRIVING IN PLATFORMS. Love you so much xx.'

The car is a Ford Puma, with the 2026 model costing between £27,000 and £35,000. Celebrities including Gemma Collins and Aisling Bea commented on the post, with Collins writing: 'Omg I want her car.'

Ryan has previously spoken about spoiling her children to ensure they are not impressed by low-effort men. On the Mad, Sad & Bad podcast, she said: 'I don't raise humble children. I have decided to spoil my daughter as much as I can and give her really extravagant Valentines. I fly her wherever she wants to go, I get her VIP tickets to anything that I can because then I feel like she won't be impressed by someone's dusty son.'

Violet is Ryan's eldest child, whom she raised alone before marrying Bobby Kootstra. The couple share three younger children: Fred, five; Fenna, three; and Holland, born in October 2025.
