Poppy Delevingne turned heads at the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty gala in London, wearing a sheer black lace dress that left little to the imagination. The 28-year-old model, sister of Cara Delevingne, paired the transparent gown with high-waisted black trousers and a messy up-do for a rock-chic edge.
The event, held at the Victoria and Albert Museum on March 12, 2015, celebrated the first major retrospective of the late designer's work. Among the 244 garments on display, a 3D holographic image of Kate Moss in a white organza gown was a highlight.
Kate Moss, accompanied by husband Jamie Hince, also wore a similar see-through black lace dress with a bodice beneath. Other attendees included Naomi Campbell, Salma Hayek, Naomie Harris, and Princess Beatrice.
The exhibition, which runs from March 14 to August 2, showcases McQueen's career from his 1992 MA graduate collection to his unfinished A/W 2010 collection. Due to unprecedented demand, the V&A released an additional 50,000 tickets and extended the run by two weeks.
