Piers Morgan Calls Harry and Meghan 'Sussex Circus Clowns' Ahead of UK Return
Piers Morgan Slams Harry and Meghan as 'Sussex Circus Clowns'

Piers Morgan has taken to social media to deliver a damning verdict on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ahead of their return to live in the UK. The broadcaster predicted that the Sussexes' major comeback could be damaging for the Royal Family.

Sussex Circus Clowns

After threatening to 'emigrate to the US,' the 61-year-old stated: 'The one nailed-down certainty about the return of the Sussex circus clowns to Britain is that there will be endless drama.'

Piers predicted that there would be 'damaging leaks by them to the media about the Royal Family, and simultaneous hypocritical whining about 'privacy invasion' by the same media.'

Reasons for Return

This comes after recent reports that the Duke and Duchess's decision was motivated by the British education system, with their children, Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five, already enrolled in a school ahead of the September term. This means the family will leave behind their Montecito mansion after relocating to the US six years ago, after stepping down as working Royals.

It is believed that they will live in a private, non-royal residence, following reports indicating that they will continue to live as non-working royals.

Public Reaction

The TV presenter was inundated with comments. One person agreed: 'There may be some leaks, but I bet the Cambridges will have their camp pretty well locked down. I feel for the King.' Another added: 'Should be interesting; not a good interesting, a very cringy interesting.'

'The irony of the 'Golden Couple' having to come back to England to get the media attention they persistently claim they don't want is unbelievable,' wrote a third. Another claimed: 'They're addicted to drama and chaos, which is why they're coming back. Nobody joins their drama triangles in the US anymore … they need a fresh circus.'

A fifth said: 'I'm okay with them coming back; it's up to them. What I'm not looking forward to is the s*** show our press will make of it!'

Royal Family Informed

The Telegraph reports that King Charles was informed of the move on Sunday night (August 16) and was pleased to learn that he will be able to see the family more when they return to Britain. The Prince and Princess of Wales, who have not been on speaking terms with Harry and Meghan for some time, have also been informed of the news, the outlet claims.

While Harry and Meghan may be returning to the UK and enrolling their children at school here, it is believed they will keep their mansion in Montecito, California. They purchased the mansion in 2020 after leaving royal life behind when they moved across the pond. The couple will also reportedly keep their holiday home in Portugal.
