Katie Price's children have spoken emotionally about how their mother's drug use made them feel lonely and unloved. Junior, 21, and Princess, 19, broke down in tears during a joint interview for a new Sky documentary, recalling how their mother's struggles with cocaine left her unable to care for them properly.
Junior described seeing his mother under the influence when he was young, saying he would wake in the night and find her 'there but not there'. He said he left her house at around 14 or 15 because the environment was unhealthy, moving to live with his father, Peter Andre. 'While I was wishing and hoping that my mum would come back and turn herself around, it made me feel like I wasn't good enough,' he said.
Princess recounted how she would cuddle a blanket sprayed with her mother's perfume to feel close to her, and would cry after school because she felt so alone. She said she stayed with her mother, wanting to show her she had her children, but her mother 'was so hooked up in her own problems' that she didn't understand.
Katie, who has faced a series of struggles since her split from Peter Andre in 2009, admitted to using cocaine to block out pain and worry. She said hearing her children's accounts 'breaks my heart', and acknowledged that while they were always looked after, that was not enough. 'Kids need their mum's love,' she said. 'I was unwell. I couldn't even look after myself.'
She recalled a car crash in September 2021, after which she was taken to a police cell, describing it as 'peace and quiet'. She credits six weeks in The Priory with saving her life and helping her rebuild her relationship with Junior and Princess.
