Jowita Przystał appeared on Lorraine on Monday morning alongside her new Strictly Come Dancing partner, Ross King. The interview took a cheeky turn when host Lorraine Kelly referenced Jowita's onstage kiss with Pete Wicks over the weekend.
During a live show for Pete and Sam Thompson's Staying Relevant podcast at the O2 Arena, Pete and Jowita shared a steamy kiss three times while performing a dance they had saved for the BBC show's final, which they narrowly missed out on. The audience erupted in cheers, leading many to believe the pair had confirmed their romance.
However, it was later reported that Pete was seen 'locking lips with a mystery woman' at The Maine Mayfair in London, casting doubt on the status of his relationship with Jowita.
Lorraine couldn't resist mentioning the kiss, saying: 'I love Pete Wicks, he's an angel. But last year, you took someone who really couldn't dance and you made him look good! He got so far in the competition. I know you saw him at the weekend! And you know what, you did really well with him, you really did.'
Jowita deftly dodged the comment, replying: 'Aww, thank you! It's the hard work, and I think the commitment you put in, that's all that matters.' She went on to praise the show's ability to transform non-dancers into performers, adding: 'To see the smile after each dance we do, it makes me feel like I'm in the right place at the right time.'
Elsewhere, Jowita and Ross confirmed they will dance to Katy Perry's California Girls when the live shows begin this Saturday. Despite Ross's enthusiasm, he was dealt a blow just hours before the launch show, as he was revealed to be the least likely to win with 66/1 odds.
