Little Mix star Perrie Edwards has announced the death of her beloved pet dog Hatchi, describing her heart as 'completely broken' after 14 years together.
The singer, who rose to fame after winning The X Factor in 2011 as part of Little Mix, shared the news on social media on Wednesday, August 19. She posted a series of photos of Hatchi alone and with her son Axel.
Emotional Tribute to Hatchi
In her post, Edwards wrote: 'My Hatchi. 14 years with you, and somehow it still could never have been enough. You weren't just my dog. You were my fur baby, my little shadow, my companion and one of the greatest gifts I have ever been given.'
She recalled how Hatchi was with her through every chapter of her life, adding: 'You came on tour with Little Mix, travelled the world with me, came on our holidays to Portugal, sat in the best restaurants eating steak like the little prince you were.'
Edwards continued: 'My heart is completely broken knowing I won't see your little face in the morning, hear your footsteps, cuddle you or have you following me around anymore. The house and my heart already feel emptier without you.'
