Perrie Edwards Heartbroken After Death of Beloved Dog Hatchi

Little Mix star Perrie Edwards has been left heartbroken after sharing the devastating news that she lost her beloved dog Hatchi. The singer, 33, posted a series of sweet snaps of her Pomeranian on Instagram and opened up about the huge hole he has left behind.

Perrie adopted Hatchi in 2012 with her ex-boyfriend Zayn Malik, and the pooch remained by her side through some of the biggest moments of her life, from touring the world with Little Mix to family holidays and trips to restaurants.

Emotional Tribute

In an emotional tribute, Perrie wrote: “My Hatchi. 14 years with you, and somehow it still could never have been enough.”

She continued: “You weren’t just my dog. You were my fur baby, my little shadow, my companion and one of the greatest gifts I have ever been given. You were there beside me through every chapter and every milestone of my life.”

“Through the happiest moments and the hardest ones. You licked away my tears when I cried, made me laugh when I needed it most, and every morning you would look at me with that little smile that made me feel like I was your whole world. And you were such a huge part of mine.”

Life Together

The star recalled how much of her life Hatchi had shared, including travelling with her while she was performing with her Little Mix bandmates. She wrote: “We lived so much life together. You came on tour with Little Mix, travelled the world with me, came on our holidays to Portugal, sat in the best restaurants eating steak like the little prince you were.”

Perrie also revealed just how difficult it has been adjusting to life without her companion. She wrote: “My heart is completely broken knowing I won’t see your little face in the morning, hear your footsteps, cuddle you or have you following me around anymore. The house and my heart already feel emptier without you.”

Final Farewell

Looking back on their 14 years together, Perrie thanked Hatchi for being there through every version of her life. She added: “Thank you for growing up with me. Thank you for being there for every version of me. Thank you for licking my tears, for making me smile, for loving me so completely and for being my best little friend for 14 years. I would choose you in every lifetime.”

Perrie ended her message with a nod to Hatchi's love of food, writing: “Sleep peacefully my beautiful boy. I hope wherever you are, there’s endless steak waiting for you.” She concluded: “I will love you and miss you forever, Hatchi. My first baby, my fur baby, my little companion. A piece of my heart went with you.”

Fans and famous friends were quick to send their love, with Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall writing: “Oh Hatchi.” Love Island's Chris Hughes commented: “ahhhh man so sad, rest up Hatchi.” Comedian Alan Carr added: “So sorry!!”
