Paddy McGuinness is reportedly dating BBC Radio Two publicist Emma Carey after the pair were spotted together in London. The TV star, who still lives with ex-wife Christine McGuinness, was pictured with Carey, who has worked for the BBC since July 2025.
In photographs, McGuinness, 52, wore a fitted black top and black trousers, while Carey wore a chic halter neck top, also in black. In one image, Carey appeared to have her arm around McGuinness. The two were thought to have been dining together at the Rosewood Hotel.
Source describes couple as 'incredibly comfortable'
A source told The Sun that Carey and McGuinness were "incredibly comfortable together" and that he was "deliriously happy." They added: "Fans will be thrilled to see him so happy after the anguish of his marriage split with Christine. It’s easy to see why he’s so smitten with Emma by his side. Paddy looked like the cat that got the cream."
McGuinness was married to Christine for 11 years. They split in 2022, and their divorce was finalized two years later. The former couple continues to live together in a Cheshire mansion with their three children.
Christine's dating insights
Speaking on Vicky Pattison's podcast last year, Christine explained how dating works while cohabiting: "We talk an awful lot and we’re very open. He has said to me when he’s been going on a date. We still live in the same house. But I think both of us right now we are very much in the same place, where we’re just like, we just don’t really know what to do or where to go."
Christine is not thought to be dating anyone currently, but she has been linked to Chelcee Grimes, Nicola Adams, and Roxanne Conway since the divorce. She has stated she is not interested in dating men again and is focused on dating women.
On the LGBTQ podcast It Started With A Kiss, she said: "I would love to have a wife one day, not like a legalised marriage, but like a blessing, a celebration of love and all of that, I would love to just be saying, this is my wife'." She added that she wants to keep her romantic and family lives separate for now: "I don't want to bring somebody into my personal life too quickly. I like the separate life. My family, my kids, my home is up there and then I come to London, step off that train, I can work, have fun, I can sleep in and I don't need to worry about everything."
