Ozzy Osbourne Denies Death Hoax With Trademark Humour

Ozzy Osbourne has been forced to debunk an online death hoax after discovering his own image in an 'in memoriam' video. The Black Sabbath frontman, 75, recounted the incident on the latest episode of The Osbournes podcast, telling his family: 'I put it on and I died! The thing on YouTube, which goes, “Celebrities Who Have Died Today,” and there’s a picture of me.'

Osbourne, referencing Monty Python and the Holy Grail, joked: 'I’m not dead. I’m not really dead… just a little flesh wound.' He added: 'I’m not dead. I’m not going any-f***ing-where and I’m going to go do some more gigs before I’m finished anyway.'

His son Jack noted a positive side, saying that whenever tabloids claim Ozzy is on the brink of death, fans now dismiss it as 'fake news' after listening to the podcast. Wife Sharon Osbourne branded the rumour-spreaders 'sick f***ers'.

Earlier this year, Osbourne cancelled a string of European and UK tour dates due to ongoing health issues. He wrote: 'My singing voice is fine. However, after three operations, stem cell treatments, endless physical therapy and most recently groundbreaking Cybernics (HAL) Treatment, my body is still physically weak.'

Osbourne revealed his Parkinson’s disease diagnosis in 2020, a year after suffering injuries from a fall. He has since undergone various surgeries, telling fans in September that the latest would be his last. 'It is going to be the final surgery because I can’t do it anymore,' he said. 'I’m not going to do it anymore, I can’t.'
