Ollie Locke has revealed that he and his husband Gareth have suffered another failed round of IVF after their surrogate experienced a miscarriage. The Made In Chelsea star, 35, shared the devastating update with co-stars Emily Blackwell and Miles Nazaire, admitting he feels 'embarrassed' and 'emasculated' by the repeated failures.
The couple, who have been documenting their journey to parenthood for two years, first announced they were expecting via surrogate in June 2021, only to later reveal the IVF had failed. Since then, they have endured multiple heartbreaks, losing five embryos in 2021 alone. This latest miscarriage marks their third failed round of IVF.
Speaking on the MIC Bali Special, Ollie said: 'Can I tell you something really savage as well? I get so embarrassed that I haven't even called my dad yet. I feel weird emasculated. I feel embarrassed that it hasn't worked for us.' Gareth added: 'This is our third time. It feels like every time you're going to have to redo it, it just feels like a step further away. We're in a very fortunate position, we can go again, but it's not easy.'
The couple have been open about their struggles, with a previous heartbreaking moment captured on camera when their surrogate broke the news that a previous attempt had failed. Despite the setbacks, their surrogate has expressed that conceiving a child for them is '100 per cent what she wants'.
