Olivia Attwood Reveals How Love Island Changed Her Life Forever
Olivia Attwood: Love Island Changed My Life

Olivia Attwood Reflects on Life-Changing Love Island Experience

Olivia Attwood has candidly admitted that her stint on Love Island completely transformed her life, as she looks back on the early days of agreeing to appear on the ITV dating show.

The reality star rose to fame after featuring in the 2017 series of Love Island, where she formed a couple with Chris Hughes. Entering the villa on day one, the pair finished the competition in third place. They dated for several months before parting ways in 2018. Prior to their split, the popular couple enjoyed their own spin-off series, Chris and Olivia: Crackin' On, which documented their relationship behind the scenes.

Following the breakup, Olivia met footballer Bradley Dack, and the couple officially married in 2023. Their love story was also televised in her series Olivia Meets Her Match, with their wedding featured in Olivia Marries Her Match. However, Olivia announced her separation from Bradley earlier this year, alleging that he had lied and cheated on her multiple times. She stated, "The breakdown of our relationship is because of this. I was in love with him and the potential I saw in him and wanted always to help him try to be the best version of himself - as I did for 10 years - covering up."

Since leaving the Love Island villa, Olivia has built an impressive television career. Alongside a string of documentaries, her show Getting Filthy Rich has aired for three series, delving into the adult entertainment industry. She is also a regular panellist on ITV's daytime show Loose Women, where she discusses topics close to her heart and current news stories. Additionally, she has appeared on Lorraine, Tipping Point: Lucky Stars, The Crystal Maze, The Real Housewives of Cheshire, and had a brief stint in the I'm a Celebrity jungle in 2022.

Olivia Opens Up on This Morning

Appearing on This Morning, a show Olivia helped present over the summer months last year, she discussed her Love Island experience, admitting it changed her life. Olivia was joined on the ITV sofa by her mother, Jennifer, as they promote their upcoming appearance on Channel 4's Celebrity Gogglebox. Ben Shephard asked if her mother had encouraged her to join Love Island, to which Olivia responded, "I got cold feet. She came and told me to get it together in time."

She added, "Phone calls all through the night, saying 'Liv, come on you know it could open doors, I changed my mind.'" Her mother chimed in, "I said, no, no you really have to do this."

Reflecting on entering the villa for series three, Olivia recalled, "I'm glad I got to experience it in that time because even though the show's evolved and it's still so incredible, we just didn't quite know what it was going to be, and I'm glad that I got to experience it at that time."

Sharing a clip from the interview on her Instagram stories, Olivia wrote, "And my whole life changed from that one decision."
