Olivia Attwood has admitted she fears she may have "moved too fast" in her relationship with Pete Wicks. The romance between the two has been blooming since her split from husband Bradley Dack.
The Love Island winner, 35, was not legally married to Bradley despite their lavish wedding ceremony in 2023. But things came crashing down after a "breach of trust" on Bradley's part earlier this year.
New romance with Pete Wicks
Now, the star has gradually stepped into her new relationship with longtime pal and TOWIE star Pete Wicks. In a recent interview, Olivia admitted she might have moved her fledgling relationship faster than she would have wanted.
Speaking to the Times, Olivia was asked about her new relationship after the pair went Instagram official last month. The news came after the couple had been papped snogging in a London nightclub earlier this year, weeks after her marriage ended.
She revealed things moved quite fast, with Pete being the one to make the move. Olivia explained: "It was unexpected, we went from platonic to non-platonic very quickly."
Olivia's reflections on the romance
"He's extremely intelligent and compassionate and patient, all the things I desperately needed but didn't know I needed," she added. Olivia also said she worried about how to feel with her new romance, reflecting: "Is something amazing happening while I'm still processing something awful? Yes."
She insisted she was now happy with Pete and said they are annoying their friend group with their PDAs. "People are telling me to be single, to go on dates," she insisted. "But if I shut things down with Pete I'd only be dating people to find the connection I have with him."
It comes after Olivia spoke out about how Pete made his move on her. She admitted it "happened quite quickly", but she is happy she has a connection with someone she cares about. She also joked: "Our friendship group is nauseated by us – we're one PDA away from being exiled."
Breakdown of marriage to Bradley Dack
Olivia and Pete's blossoming relationship came after her marriage to footballer Bradley, 32, came to an end at the beginning of the year. She revealed that things had gone south after she was told by a pal her husband had "gone back with a random girl" on a night out.
The breach of trust was too much for Olivia, who broke off the relationship after over seven years together. She stated in an Instagram post at the time: "I have stood by Brad for the last ten years during which he lied & cheated on me multiple times, the breakdown of our relationship is because of this."
Months later, Olivia admitted she was struggling to process the breakdown, saying she kept crying. She insisted: "I don't need to be crying on the internet, I don't think that people, professionally, are going to respect me and book me to host their TV shows when I'm videoing myself lying on the floor crying."
