Ola Jordan: 'Heart is heavier than I ever imagined' in split post

Strictly Come Dancing star Ola Jordan has shared a heartfelt statement weeks after announcing her separation from ex-husband James. The former dance partners revealed their split after more than 20 years of marriage in a joint statement online, saying they were "taking some time apart as we work through very difficult personal challenges" after James moved out of the family home.

A Summer of Change

Now, the 43-year-old Polish dancer has taken to Instagram to give her fans an insight into her summer. Alongside a selfie with her six-year-old daughter, Ella, she wrote: "There have been moments this summer when my heart has felt heavier than I ever imagined it could."

She continued: "Life has changed in ways I never expected, and some days have been incredibly tough. But through all of the uncertainty, one thing has remained constant: my beautiful girl, Ella."

Focus on Her Daughter

"Spending these summer holidays with my baby girl, making memories, having cuddles, laughing until our tummies hurt, and simply enjoying every precious moment together has been my greatest moment. She may not realise it now, but she has been my little ray of sunshine through some of my darkest days."

The pro dancer, who competed on the BBC show until 2015, added: "This summer hasn't been the one I imagined, but I'm choosing to focus on what truly matters - her, our memories, and all the love between us."

Thanks to Fans

She also thanked her famous friends and fans for their support, writing: "To everyone who has sent me messages, checked in on me, shown me kindness, or simply reminded me that I'm not alone, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your love and support have meant more to me than you will ever know."

Fans and friends quickly flooded the comments with well-wishes. Charlotte Dawson wrote: "Beautiful, sending so much love," while another said: "You are doing amazing! It's so tough what you are going through, but I can assure you that you will get through it. You became a stronger person for it." A third commented: "You are a beautiful lady, and your daughter will be your tonic. Nothing beats a mother-daughter bond."
