Noel Gallagher has revealed he is back in the recording studio, sparking fresh speculation that Oasis could release new music. The 58-year-old confirmed he was "noodling away" during an interview on TalkSPORT, but remained tight-lipped about who the songs are intended for.
Speaking to Andy Goldstein about Manchester City's Premier League title push, Gallagher said: "Everything's great. I'm in the studio noodling away. It's all good." When pressed on whether he was writing material for Oasis, he insisted: "It could be for anyone."
The admission comes after last year's hugely successful reunion tour with brother Liam, which fuelled expectations of a stadium tour next. Fans have been hoping the brothers might record their first new Oasis music since 2009.
Separately, Gallagher recently visited celebrity perfume designer Azzi Glasser's London atelier, where he spent £1,500 on luxury fragrances and scented candles. Glasser told The Mirror: "He loves his scents and smells. He's great - he's so funny, absolutely brilliant." She added that he "knows his candle scents".
The musician also took time to praise Manchester City's revival, which he believes will see them lift the Premier League trophy. His comments come a month after he and Liam "partied hard" following City's Carabao Cup final victory over Arsenal.
