Nobody's Fool Contestant Billy Reveals 'Crazy' Masked Filming Experience
Nobody's Fool Star Billy on Masked Filming Experience

Clairvoyant Billy, a contestant on ITV's reality gameshow Nobody's Fool, has described the 'crazy' filming experience, revealing that the cast were 'led around in masks' to maintain secrecy. Speaking exclusively at the National Film Awards, Billy shared details of the production process for the show, which premiered earlier this year.

Masked Moves and Secretive Filming

Billy explained that the secrecy measures were extreme: 'We were led around wearing masks because they were setting up the country home where they filmed it in Kent, so we were led around in masks, we were taken out with towels over our head in case there was press there. The whole thing was insane.' The show, hosted by Emily Atack and Danny Dyer, features 10 contestants living in a 'Smart House' and competing in psychological mind games rather than traditional intelligence tests.

A 'Crazy' First Reality TV Experience

Billy, who is primarily an actor, called the experience his 'first foray into reality' and noted the intensity of the process: 'The insanity of reality TV is just something to behold.' He also revealed that the casting process took seven months, with 'ups and downs and maybes', before filming began suddenly. 'It was like blindfolds, do this, that, the other,' he added.

Learning Curve for Hosts and Contestants

Billy praised the hosts, saying 'Danny Dyer and Emily Atack, they're both new to hosting reality, they're both brilliant, and I think everybody was finding their feet.' He also admitted he would do reality TV again, calling the show 'really, really fun', though he joked: 'I deserved to win, I didn't deserve to go out the way I did, but big mouth me!'

Hosts' Perspectives on the Show

Ahead of the premiere, Danny Dyer said: 'This is a blinder of a game show and unlike anything I've seen before. Emily and I had a brilliant time making it and much like the audience at home will be, we were kept guessing right until the very end.' Emily Atack added: 'It's so exciting to be part of something this new and fresh. The chance to work with Danny again was a no brainer for me. We had such a laugh. Can't wait for everyone to watch, it's an absolute must see.'

Nobody's Fool is available to watch on ITVX.
