Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have separated after nearly two decades of marriage, according to reports. The Oscar-winning actress and the country music star, who share two daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14, had shown signs of strain earlier this year.
The couple, who married in June 2006, marked their anniversary in June with an unusually muted social media post. Kidman shared a photo with the caption “Happy Anniversary Baby,” while Urban responded with a single love heart emoji. Unlike previous years, Urban did not post his own tribute, contrasting with a romantic beach photo he shared in 2023 professing his “forever” love.
Reports from TMZ suggest the pair have been living apart since the start of the summer. Sources close to the couple told People that the split has been difficult for Kidman, who has been “fighting to save the marriage.” Her sister Antonia has been a “rock” during the separation, with the Kidman family rallying around her.
Kidman and Urban, both dual US and Australian citizens, met in January 2005 at a Hollywood event and married the following year in Sydney. Urban has been on his High and Alive World tour since May, while Kidman recently wrapped production on a sequel to Practical Magic with Sandra Bullock.
