Keith Urban laughs off fan's name amid divorce from Nicole Kidman

Keith Urban brought his High and Alive World Tour to a close in Nashville on Friday, October 17, but it was an audience interaction that stole the show. The country singer asked a front-row fan her name, and when she replied 'Nicole' – the same name as his estranged wife, Nicole Kidman – he collapsed to the floor in laughter, much to the delight of the crowd.

The moment came one day after Urban was forced to cancel his October 16 concert in Greenville, South Carolina, after being diagnosed with laryngitis and placed on complete vocal rest. In a statement, he apologised to fans, writing: 'Hey Greenville, I’m so SO sorry to have to cancel the show …. I know all the logistics it takes to get to a concert these days and I’ve never taken any of that, or any of YOU for granted. I’m looking forward to getting back there when we can!!!!!'

The light-hearted exchange occurs weeks after Nicole Kidman filed for divorce in Nashville on September 30, citing irreconcilable differences. Court documents revealed that the couple's conflicting work commitments had kept them apart, with Urban's tour and Kidman's projects, including Practical Magic 2 and the latest series of Big Little Lies, taking them in opposite directions.
