Nicola Peltz Beckham has marked the sixth anniversary of her engagement to Brooklyn Beckham with a heartfelt social media tribute, describing him as 'the kindest man I've ever met'. The actress shared throwback photos from his birthday in March on Instagram, writing: 'I can’t believe we got engaged 6 years ago today. I feel like I’ve known you my whole life, you’re my best friend and my forever love wrapped in one.'
Brooklyn reciprocated with his own post, stating: '6 years ago I asked my best friend to marry me x You are my girl, my beautiful wife, and my whole heart. Every day with you feels like the best adventure.' The couple, who wed in April 2022, became engaged in July 2020 after approximately eight months of dating.
The public display of affection comes amid a well-documented rift between the couple and Brooklyn's parents, David and Victoria Beckham. Rumours of a feud surfaced in early 2024 when Brooklyn accused his parents of being 'controlling' and attempting to 'ruin' his relationship with Nicola. He also claimed his mother had backed out of designing Nicola's wedding dress, though other sources suggest Nicola declined the offer.
Victoria Beckham addressed the feud for the first time in a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal, stating: 'We love our children so much' and have 'always tried to be the best parents'. David Beckham, however, declined to comment, telling Variety: 'That’s a private matter. That’s the one thing that I don’t want to talk about.'
