New Crime Drama 'You're Killing Me' Starts Tonight on U

Fans of Death in Paradise looking for their next cosy crime fix could have found exactly what they need. New mystery drama You're Killing Me starts tonight at 8pm on U, bringing together two very different women who find themselves drawn into murder investigations.

Two Unlikely Sleuths

Starring Hollywood star Brooke Shields alongside Amalia Williamson, the six-part series follows legendary mystery novelist Allison 'Allie' Chandler and cynical Gen Z true-crime podcaster Andrea 'Andi' Wallace. Allie is a successful mystery novelist whose career is beginning to lose some of its shine. Everything changes when a fellow author dies at a writers' convention in her hometown.

Convinced that the death was no accident, Allie reluctantly joins forces with Andi, a cash-strapped true-crime podcaster with a very different approach to solving crimes. The two women spar, clash and regularly get on each other's nerves, but their differences could ultimately make them an effective investigative team.

Cosy Crime with a Light Touch

If you love Death in Paradise, there is plenty here to enjoy. Like the long-running Caribbean crime drama, You're Killing Me combines murder mysteries with humour, colourful characters and a strong sense of fun. Rather than being an intensely dark crime thriller, the series has a lighter, more playful approach to murder.

Each mystery gives Allie and Andi a new puzzle to unravel, while their increasingly entertaining relationship provides plenty of comedy along the way. It also has the kind of 'who did it?' storytelling that makes cosy crime so addictive.

Premiere Episode and Full Series Availability

The opening episode, titled The Beginning, starts at the International Mystery Writers Convention. Allie and Andi get off to a distinctly rocky start before finding themselves investigating the suspicious death of a critic. Their search takes them into the murkier side of the publishing world, where publishing scandals begin to emerge and the danger becomes very real.

After surviving a near-fatal attack, the unlikely duo eventually expose an unexpected killer, but the case is only the beginning of their partnership. There are also bigger questions waiting in the wings, including the mystery surrounding Andi's missing mother and a shadowy figure watching from afar. All episodes of You're Killing Me are available on U from launch, so viewers can watch tonight's opening episode at 8pm and then continue straight through the six-part series if they get hooked.
