EastEnders actress Natalie Cassidy has told of her joy during a family holiday to the Greek island of Crete, describing the trip as '10 days of pure family time'. The former Sonia Fowler star shared a series of photographs on Instagram showing her relaxing with her fiancé Marc Humphreys and their family.
In one image, Cassidy could be seen holding a drink while playing the card game Uno at a restaurant. Another snap showed her posing with Humphreys during a dinner, while further pictures captured the family making the most of the swimming pool at their villa.
Cassidy, who left the BBC soap earlier this year, captioned her post: 'Crete. 10 days of pure family time. UNO, clear seas, gorgeous people and beautiful food. I love you all so much and feel so blessed.' She also praised the holiday accommodation, writing: 'NOT AN AD AT ALL NO DISCOUNTS NO NOTHING but thank you to @_oliverstravels_ as the villa and everything about this break were fabulous.'
The actress's departure from EastEnders came after her character endured a difficult final storyline, including being imprisoned for a murder she did not commit and giving birth in the Queen Vic amid falling debris. She was later seen driving off with her sister Bianca Jackson and her daughters Bex and Julia.
Since leaving Albert Square, Cassidy has remained busy with other projects, including presenting Channel 4's What's The Big Deal and hosting a show on Virgin Radio UK. She also recently attended Oasis' Wembley concert with Humphreys, who proposed in 2015 not long after they began dating.
Her holiday post attracted comments from fellow celebrities. EastEnders actress Diane Parish wrote 'You're all flipping gorgeous', while The Only Way Is Essex star Jess Wright added 'Love it Nat!'. Another fan remarked that Cassidy's daughter looked like 'a little Sonya!!!', referring to her former character.
