Strictly Come Dancing professional Nadiya Bychkova has shared a video of herself dancing in a bikini while on holiday in Croatia, following reports that she has been dropped from the upcoming series along with three other dancers.
The Ukrainian dancer, 35, posted a clip on Instagram showing her dancing by a pool wearing a black and white patterned bikini top and matching black trousers. In the video, she holds a white flute glass and waves her other hand as she moves under the sun.
Nadiya captioned the post: "Celebrating women today and every day. The strength, the joy, the resilience and the beautiful way we lift each other up. And sometimes… a little dance along the way. Happy International Women’s Day."
Fans flooded the comments with support, with one writing: "Beautiful. Is what I heard about Strictly sadly true?" Another said: "such a beautiful lady and smile."
The news comes after reports that Nadiya, along with fellow pros Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk and Michelle Tsiakkas, have been told they will not return as full-time dancers. A source told The Sun: "Nadiya is distraught. The news came as such a huge shock... No one was expecting producers to chop so many professionals."
BBC bosses are reportedly looking to revamp the show following recent scandals and the departure of hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman. Nadiya had previously expressed hope of returning, telling the Mirror last month: "I hope so, who knows, we’ll get the call later in the year."
