The cause of death remains unknown as a police probe is underway, according to the DailyStar. The Brazilian model's death was announced by her mother on 7 July, as reported by NeedToKnow. Kauana had gained a massive following through her modelling pictures and travel posts.
In one of her final social media updates, posted on 25 June, she celebrated her engagement to partner Barbara Abrantes. The precise date of her death has not been disclosed.
Mother's Grief and Call for Respect
Darla Bilhar posted a heartfelt tribute: 'There are no words capable of expressing the magnitude of the longing you left behind. Today you are no longer by my side as I dreamed, but you will live forever within me. I love you infinitely, my girl. Until the day we can meet again.'
She also called for respect after vicious comments appeared on her daughter's social media. 'My daughter deserves respect. She can no longer respond to the accusations, the malicious comments, the stories that are being created about her. It is with my soul in pieces that I come to speak out. My daughter deserves respect,' she added.
