Morrissey has cancelled his four-night Las Vegas residency, scheduled to begin on Friday, August 14, due to "unforeseen logistical challenges." The dates have been removed from the Wynn Las Vegas website, and his team confirmed the cancellation.
Latest in a string of cancellations
The 67-year-old former Smiths frontman has disappointed fans repeatedly in recent months. In March, he called off a show in Valencia citing sleep deprivation, a reason that drew mockery from the Spanish embassy in the UK. Earlier, he pulled shows in St. Petersburg, Florida, San Diego, St. Louis, and Atlanta, with the latter reportedly due to artist illness.
He also postponed a California show following an adverse reaction to prescription medication and cancelled two performances in Mexico due to extreme exhaustion, as announced by promoter OSECA in an Instagram statement.
Security and future shows
In September, he cancelled shows in Connecticut and Massachusetts after receiving a credible threat on his life, citing safety concerns for both himself and the audience.
Morrissey is still scheduled to perform five arena shows in the UK in December, visiting Brighton, Cardiff, Liverpool, Glasgow, and Leeds, though it remains uncertain if these will proceed.
