Mollie King and Stuart Broad are set to appear on Celebrity Gogglebox this Friday at 9pm on Channel 4. The couple, who have been together for several years, got engaged in 2021 and share two daughters, Annabelle and Liliana.
Early Relationship and Split
The pair first began dating in 2012, but the relationship ended less than a year later. In his 2023 autobiography Broadly Speaking, Stuart revealed that his cricket commitments and Mollie's busy career made maintaining the relationship difficult. He wrote: 'Typical of young professionals, we were all over the place. In early 2013, I flew off to India for some one-dayers and then on to New Zealand. Mollie went to film in Los Angeles, and despite really enjoying each other's company, being at opposite ends of the world didn't help us stay in touch.'
Reunion and Engagement
In 2019, the couple rekindled their romance during a make-or-break trip to Paris, which helped them reconnect. Stuart proposed two years later, though he nearly had to abandon the plan when a stranger occupied the bench he had chosen for the proposal. He wrote: 'I gave him the eyes to suggest he moved on, but after doing another loop of the park, he was still there. So I persuaded Mollie to go round once more. Next time, he'd gone.' Mollie shared the news on Instagram, captioning a photo: 'A thousand times yes! I still can't believe it, the most magical start to the new year! I can't wait to spend all my years with you.'
Family and Tragedy
The couple welcomed their first daughter, Annabelle, in 2022, and their second daughter, Liliana, in January 2025. However, Mollie's father, Stephen, was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2022 and passed away in November of that year, just days after Annabelle's birth. Mollie has since postponed wedding planning, telling The Times: 'I can't bear to think about my wedding without Dad being there. Elements like walking down the aisle without him, I still struggle with.' Stuart expressed admiration for Mollie's strength, writing: 'I really don't know how she managed it. I'm in awe of her inner strength.'
