Stranger Things star David Harbour officiates fan wedding in full costume

David Harbour, the actor who plays Chief Jim Hopper in Netflix's Stranger Things, has married two fans in a ceremony he officiated while dressed in his character's costume. The couple had challenged him on Twitter earlier this year, and after meeting his conditions, he kept his promise over the weekend.

Harbour set a number of requirements, including that the tweet must be retweeted over 125,000 times and that the wedding did not clash with filming of the third season. He also demanded the first slice of cake and the chance to read a love letter at the ceremony.

Posting a picture from the event in Springfield, Illinois, Harbour wrote: 'So me and some fun folks in Springfield, Illinois made good on our promise we made all those months ago.'

This is not the first time the actor has used social media to grant a fan's wish. In October last year, he posed for a student's school photo after she contacted him on Twitter, requesting in return that she wear a jumper with her school's logo and hold a trombone.
