Spice Girl Mel C is making the most of married life, sharing a glimpse of her Ibiza honeymoon with new husband Chris Dingwall. The couple, who tied the knot in an intimate Lake District ceremony, have jetted off to the Spanish island to celebrate both their honeymoon and Dingwall's 46th birthday - and Mel's mum Joan and step-dad are along for the ride.
Posting a string of snaps on his social media account, Dingwall gave fans a look at their romantic getaway. One picture shows the loved-up pair sharing a selfie on a boat trip, while another captures them enjoying a meal with Joan and Mel's step-dad. In a separate shot, Dingwall is topless as he heads down to the beach.
A honeymoon and birthday combined
For the celebration, Mel wore an oversized white t-shirt matched with a veil and garter, kicking her leg up in the air in white trainers. In a playful twist on tradition, trainers were attached to the back of the couple's transport instead of tin cans. Dingwall also got in on the wedding spirit, wearing a t-shirt that played on Nike's famous slogan, reading: 'Just Did It'.
Dingwall captioned his post: 'It's been a big week! Bit on lately. Very grateful to be celebrating the big 4-6 in a very special place with some of the best people I know. Or you know for that matter.'
Mel replied: 'Happy Birthday husband. I love you.'
From Raya to the aisle
The couple met on celebrity dating app Raya three years ago, and Dingwall proposed during a trip to Mallorca last July. A friend of his previously said: 'He maintains a very low profile, particularly with his relationships. He was based in LA for many years for work and he was surrounded by all sorts of celebrities, but he kept dating and various relationships very low profile... What I know of Chris, he doesn't chase the limelight, however is very drawn to it. He doesn't want to be centre stage and would be happy for Mel to be there, but he has always had a lure for media.'
Mel's wedding dress was designed by close friend Victoria Beckham, who could not attend the big day. However, her fellow Spice Girls - Mel B, Geri Horner and Emma Bunton - were there to celebrate.
