Meghan's Royal Reunion Sparks New Headache for King

Meghan Markle has caused the Royal Family another major headache, but not for the most obvious reason. The Duchess of Sussex was recently called out by Hollywood icon Martha Stewart for discussing her meeting with King Charles at a dinner party. Now, royal experts have revealed the real concern for the royals.

Martha Stewart's Claim

Last week, Martha Stewart exposed Meghan for talking about her recent meeting with King Charles at a dinner party, admitting: “She had just gotten back from the palace. I didn’t talk to her really more than to say a couple words, but I know she was talking about it.”

Royal Expert's Insight

TalkTV's royal correspondent Rupert Bell confirmed to host Mark Dolan that the exchange has caused the royals a huge headache, but not for the obvious reason. He claimed that the royals want no part in “building Meghan’s brand” and instead want to avoid the Meghan and Harry “soap opera”.

Bell said on the programme: “This is the problem. Why does Meghan feel- And this is the problem, also, for the Royal Family, because she does want to be seen to be back in the royal fold for her brand’s sake! Yes she may be having a quiet dinner party in Montecito amongst her celebrity friends or acquaintances, [but] she doesn’t need to be going on about how wonderful it was, ‘I’ve seen the King, look at me, I saw the King again’.”

“That’s not what the Royal Family really want. They want her to put up, shut up and prove that you do want a genuine rehabilitation without the soap opera afterwards. This is another example of the soap opera – ‘she said, she said’. Who is right, I don’t know? But it’s part of the Sussex soap opera.”

Dinner Party Guest Denies Account

It comes as another dinner party guest claimed to People magazine that Martha’s account is “simply not true”. A source said: “I sat next to Meghan at the dinner party, and this account of what happened is simply untrue. Meghan didn’t talk about her European vacation other than to say the family had a great time.”
