Meghan Markle's acting roles: from Suits to a Russell Brand kiss
Meghan Markle's acting roles: from Suits to Brand kiss

Before Meghan Markle became a member of the Royal Family and married Prince Harry, she had already built a successful career in Hollywood. Now, with reports that Meghan and Harry are preparing to return to the UK to live, attention is once again turning to the Duchess of Sussex's life before royal fame.

From Suits to lesser-known credits

For many viewers, Meghan will always be best known as Rachel Zane in Suits, the legal drama that helped make her a household name. She starred in the series for several years before her relationship with Harry thrust her into the global spotlight.

But Suits was far from Meghan's only acting credit. Over the years, she appeared in a string of television shows and films, taking on roles that were very different from the polished image audiences would later associate with her. Her earlier work included everything from comedy appearances to more risqué roles, while one particularly unexpected credit saw her share a "kiss" with British comedian Russell Brand.

A look back at early appearances

As Meghan and Harry reportedly prepare to make the UK their home once again, here's a look back at some of the lesser-known roles from Meghan's acting career that fans may have forgotten about.

Fringe

As special agent Amy Jessup, Markle appeared in two episodes of the science fiction show.

90210

In one of Meghan's earliest acting credits, the future royal appeared in saucy teen drama 90210 as Wendy. Markle starred in two episodes and her character was caught performing oral sex on Ethan, Annie's boyfriend.

Castle

As Charlotte Boyd in Castle, Markle starred as a killer's next victim and her image came up in the detective's database.

Suits

Perhaps her best known role, Meghan starred as Rachel Zane for 108 episodes of the legal drama.

Remember Me

In 2010's Remember Me, Meghan played a bartender with her own name. Robert Pattinson's character approached the bar with a pal and had a short exchange before turning away.

Horrible Bosses

Meghan starred as the "cute FedEx girl" that left Jason Sudeikis' character in a trance while signing off some shipments.

Get Him To The Greek

In one scene, Russell Brand grabbed a brunette girl's face and kissed her while at a party. However, a common misconception is that Brand snogged Markle, but actually the woman in the scene is not the future royal at all.
