Meghan Markle Faces Backlash for Using Kids in Hollywood Promotion
Meghan Markle Criticized for Mentioning Kids in Hollywood

The Duchess of Sussex attended a special screening of the new film Cookie Queens in Los Angeles this week, where she serves as an executive producer with Prince Harry through Archewell Productions. The documentary follows Girl Scouts competing to sell cookies.

Mention of Children

At the screening, Meghan brought up her children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Asked if they had seen the film, she said they have "not yet" but "they love all the cookies that we've had throughout this process." This sparked criticism as she has previously refused to let them pose for official royal photographs in the UK.

During her MasterChef Australia cameo as guest judge, she also peppered details about her children, insisting they both eat Brussels sprouts. She added: "If they say, 'Mama, can I have dessert?', we say, 'If you can pick it, you can have it'." Meghan also explained how she got involved in the film, stating: "I baked some cookies, and I brought them to the meeting."
