Rapper Megan Thee Stallion has asked producers of The Traitors to sign her up and send her to the castle. The hip hop star, who hails from Houston, Texas, is a massive fan of the BBC One show fronted by Claudia Winkleman and has sent a 'come and get me' plea to the presenter for an invite onto the next celebrity edition.
Fear of being voted off
However, Megan fears she wouldn't last long: "Traitors is a good show. I wanna be on Traitors. But I keep saying, 'I think if I went on it, they would immediately vote me off because they would think I'm a Traitor'. I feel like when you have a big personality, people just automatically assume it's you."
Series two of The Celebrity Traitors has already been shot starring the likes of Ross Kemp, Maya Jama and Jerry Hall.
Criticism of influencers
She would like to see real stars who are household names feature in the castle rather than influencers who have a viral moment or "want the fame without the hard work that goes into it." Megan explained: "I mean, honestly, it's a little bit easier to do that, though, now. You can go viral on Instagram and have a terrible song."
She continued: "The internet has made it really easy to be famous — good or bad. I think you can tell the difference between people who really love what they do and people who just want to be famous. I feel like I fall on the side of I really love what I do."
New album and Broadway ambitions
The US star will soon be back with new album, Act III which will feature "overdue collaborations that will shock the people". She revealed: "It is going to be one of my favourite projects I ever put out because I definitely took my time with this one."
The rapper appeared on Broadway in Moulin Rouge earlier this year, and wants to do more...possibly in the UK. She told the IMO podcast: "I was so nervous. I had never done anything like that before. But now I'm like, 'What else do y'all want me to do? I can do that'. I would do it again because I want that Tony (award). That's on my list of things I need."
"I'm really wanting to take my artistry bigger. I don't only want to do music — I do want to get into acting. That's just something I really want to pursue right now."
