Matt Dillon, 60, Stuns Fans with Youthful Appearance at Cannes

Matt Dillon has amazed fans with his age-defying looks at the Cannes Film Festival, where the 60-year-old actor appeared remarkably youthful on the red carpet on May 22. Despite his greying hair and stubble, Dillon looked sharp in a navy blazer, t-shirt, jeans, and sneakers.

Dillon was at Cannes for the photocall of his new film Being Maria, a biographical drama about French actress Maria Schneider. He plays Marlon Brando, who starred opposite Schneider in Last Tango in Paris. The film reframes Schneider's life in a post-#MeToo light.

This appearance comes after Dillon previously caused controversy at Cannes in 2018 with The House That Jack Built, a graphic film about a serial killer that led to walkouts. Dillon defended the film, saying it was meant to be disturbing but that he believed it was a good film.

Dillon began his career as a teen heartthrob at age 14, discovered while skipping school. He has since taken on diverse roles over four decades, earning a Lifetime Achievement Award at Locarno in 2022. He credits on-the-job training and learning from greats for his success.

Off-screen, Dillon keeps his personal life private. He was in a relationship with Cameron Diaz from 1995 to 1998 and has been with Italian actress Roberta Mastromichele for ten years. They split time between the US and Rome, where Dillon enjoys painting and staying creative.
