Former England goalkeeper Mary Earps has revealed the birth of her baby boy with partner Kitty Forrest. The announcement came in a surprise video posted on Friday, in which Earps said she had been keeping a secret.
"I've been keeping a little secret from you all, and I don't think I can talk my way out of this one, so I'm going to have to show you," Earps said at the start of the video on YouTube. At the end of the video, she revealed that 'Baby Forrest Earps' was born on November 5.
Emotional Announcement
In an Instagram post, Earps wrote: "I can't quite believe I'm writing this, but yesterday Kitty and I welcomed our beautiful baby boy into the world!" She added that the couple are "absolutely over the moon and still trying to take it all in."
Earps described the journey as "such an emotional journey getting to this point," and expressed excitement about beginning "this next chapter of our lives as a family of three." She also noted her dual roles: "Already a full-time footballer, and now a full-time mum too!"
Career and Return to England
Earps, who retired from international football in May last year, returned to England in the summer to sign for London City Lionesses after spending the last two seasons with Paris Saint-Germain. The 33-year-old goalkeeper played an integral role in the Lionesses' success at Euro 2022.
During her time with England, Earps also won the Women's Finalissima, the SheBelieves Cup, and the Arnold Clark Cup twice. She was also in goal for the Lionesses' defeat to Spain in the World Cup final in 2023.
