Spandau Ballet bassist Martin Kemp has shared a poignant family video ahead of his appearance on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here, leaving fans in tears. The 64-year-old musician and former EastEnders actor posted vintage footage of his wife Shirlie and their two children on Instagram, accompanied by a heartfelt voiceover reflecting on life, love, and loss.
The video includes clips of the couple's children, Harley Moon, 36, and Roman Kemp, 32, as babies, alongside moments from their family life. Martin's narration muses on milestones from childhood to adulthood, touching on first kisses, marriage, and the inevitability of goodbyes. He says: 'There are always too many goodbyes and often too soon. We place flowers that we never wanted to buy and lay them where love and memory meet.'
Fans were moved by the emotional tribute, with one commenting: 'Made me cry... Well done.' Another wrote: 'I loved this video and cried when I saw the old videos of Shirlie and you who built a family.' Harley Moon also responded on Instagram, writing: 'Love this' alongside two heart emojis.
Martin and Shirlie, a former backing singer for Wham! and one half of Pepsi and Shirlie, have been married since 1998. The video was originally created for a Samsung advert promoting the Galaxy Z Fold7, but its personal nature resonated deeply with viewers.
Martin will join the latest series of I'm a Celebrity, which launches on ITV on Sunday 16 November, hosted by Ant and Dec. He will be alongside stars including Kelly Brook, Ruby Wax, and Lisa Riley.
