Martin Compston Injured by Airsoft Gun on Line of Duty Set

Line of Duty star Martin Compston was accidentally injured while filming the seventh series of the hit BBC show. The actor, who plays Steve Arnott, was hit by an Airsoft gun on set and immediately received medical attention before resuming filming.

Incident Details

According to local reports, the incident occurred during filming in Northern Ireland, where the cast including Vicky McClure and Adrian Dunbar have gathered after a five-year hiatus. An Airsoft gun, used to mimic real firearms in productions, fired a projectile that struck Compston. Medics on set attended to him promptly, and he was able to continue work shortly after.

Cast and Crew Reactions

Showrunner Jed Mercurio recently confirmed filming had begun by sharing a photo of Compston and McClure on social media, captioned: "AC-12 in the house." Another image showed Adrian Dunbar in his character's uniform, with Mercurio quoting the famous line: "There's one thing I'm interested in and one thing only and that's bent coppers." McClure also posted a video teasing the script, playfully refusing to show it to fans.
