The Chase star Mark Labbett has reunited with his ex-girlfriend, Hayley Palmer. The ITV brainbox was once branded "beastly" by Hayley, after he dumped her during a three-minute phone call.
Earlier this week, The Beast, 61, and Hayley, 45, were spotted on a date at chicken restaurant Nando's. But the pair first bumped into one another at a train station before they rekindled their relationship.
Winning her back
Mark admits that he realised he made a mistake and instantly texted model and presenter Hayley in an attempt to win her back. And it was no small feat; instead, he charmed Hayley with a pair of £700 Christian Louboutin heels, bingo dates and dinner at Nando's.
Now, they've been together again for three months, and it appears that their love never faded, with marriage even on the cards. Mark saw Hayley at St Pancras Station in London, but because a car was waiting for him, he couldn't chase after his ex-girlfriend.
Looking to the future
Instead, he texted her, and Hayley asked why he hadn't approached her. And the rest is history, with the pair meeting for lunch not long after. "The first person that is going to find out about that is Hayley," he told The Sun of possible marriage plans.
Meanwhile, Hayley said: "We've had two years apart, and it's funny because during that time those emotions go, and now we're the best version of ourselves, and we're all about looking after each other and just being respectful to each other and having a nice time together."
Now, Mark looks at Hayley and says she's in the "best shape" and "looks ridiculously fit". While he admits he's lost weight since the pair started dating one another again. Speaking about their romance, he added: "The major thing now is we've just gone on with it. We're not trying to hide it. We're just not bothering to be a big issue. We wouldn't bother going on Loose Women or anything."
Past split and regret
In May 2024, a week after their first anniversary together, Mark abruptly ended their relationship. After their split, Mark told fans he was "content" with being single.
Hayley, however, was not happy with this and branded him "heartless". She said on Instagram: "I think it's a shame that someone could say something so heartless over a relationship that lasted over a year. I have moved on and working to be the best version of myself. I think what is actually serious is Mental Health and we should all be working together towards a caring Christmas. X."
Following their split, Katie claimed that Mark didn't want to divorce his ex-wife and said it had been "traumatic". She said: "He has really lived up to his name. The Beast has been a beast.
"It has come as a complete shock. I thought we were really happy. I'm heartbroken and blindsided. His behaviour has been beastly." However, Mark, just six months later, spoke of his regret and said he was "very lucky" to have dated Hayley for a year.
He tried his luck on Celebs Go Dating, but it appears as though Hayley was still on his mind, as he now refuses to discuss his stint on the show, so he doesn't upset anybody.
