For many viewers, his presence on screen was a powerful symbol of Black achievement and normalcy during prime time.
Beyond The Cosby Show, Warner enjoyed a varied career spanning five decades, including roles in The Resident and 9-1-1, as well as directing music videos for Whitney Houston and New Edition. He also performed regularly with his band, Biological Misfits, at his monthly event Buteco Nights in Atlanta, where he transformed a Brazilian restaurant into a classic Black TV hotspot.
