MAFS UK star Holly Ditchfield's twin boys die nine days after birth

Married At First Sight UK star Holly Ditchfield has announced the deaths of her premature twin boys, Georgie and Marley, who passed away nine days after being born. The 31-year-old reality TV personality delivered her sons at 23 weeks and lost both within hours of each other, describing the experience as the "hardest and most heartbreaking" of her life.

Twin boys' brief lives

Holly, who appeared on Married At First Sight in 2024 and was paired with Alex Henry, gave birth to her twins on August 26. Georgie weighed 1lb 1oz and Marley weighed 1lb 2oz at birth. Georgie passed away on 3 September at 1pm, and Marley followed at 5am the next day.

In an emotional Instagram post, Holly revealed that both sons died cradled in the arms of her and her partner, Aaron Summers. She wrote: "My beautiful boys, Georgie & Marley. It has been the hardest, most heartbreaking, yet most magical 9 days of our lives."

Heartbreaking final moments

Holly shared the details of their final moments, stating: "At 1pm on 03/09/2026, our darling Georgie peacefully passed away. Then, at 5am on 04/09/2026, his beautiful brother Marley followed him. My boys both took their final breaths in the arms of me and their daddy. There is no greater privilege, and no greater pain, than holding your children as they leave this world."

She added: "They gave us the most precious week of our lives. A week I would live over and over again, just to have those moments with them. To hold them. To look at them. To love them. To be their mummy and daddy."

A plea for privacy

In her statement, Holly described the pain of losing her children, saying: "My boys are together again now, just as they should be, and I pray with all my heart that they are finally at peace. Nothing could ever prepare you for the loss of your children. Nothing readies you for the heart-wrenching task of walking your babies to a mortuary."

She continued: "We've encountered more in these 9 days than I ever thought possible, and my heart feels utterly battered. My body feels different. It feels as though a part of me is missing, because a part of me truly is. I miss my boys more than words can ever convey. I would have given absolutely everything to see Georgie and Marley grow up, to hear their voices, watch them take their first steps, and witness the wonderful lives they deserved to lead."

Holly, who is engaged to Aaron, asked for privacy during this difficult time: "But for 9 precious days, they were here. They were ours. They were loved beyond measure. And they will forever be our beautiful boys. Please, I ask everyone to respect how incredibly difficult this is for me and Aaron right now. We are grappling with a pain no parent should ever have to endure."

She concluded: "Georgie & Marley, thank you for giving us the most precious 9 days of our lives. You will forever be our sons, our babies, and the biggest part of our hearts. Until we meet again, my beautiful boys. Mummy & Daddy love you forever."
