Married At First Sight Australia bride Stephanie Marshall has revealed a secret connection to another groom from the current season. The 32-year-old real estate agent disclosed that she already knew Grayson McIvor, who recently ended his marriage to Julia Vogl, before entering the experiment.
Stephanie, who was matched with ex-soldier Tyson Gordon, described seeing Grayson as a 'comfort blanket' during the show. 'I worked with Grayson back in 2017 for a very short moment, so to see his face was really comforting,' she told Pedestrian TV.
The intruder bride admitted that her relationship with Tyson has been rocky from the start, with him accusing her of bringing 'masculine energy' to their marriage. Despite her traditional and conservative values, Stephanie remains ambitious and driven in her property sales career.
Tyson's lack of filter and strong views on gender roles have led Stephanie to question their union. Even Tyson has acknowledged coming across as 'arrogant' and 'unlikeable' on the show this season.
Stephanie explained that her brief work stint with Grayson in 2017 provided a sense of familiarity. 'We literally worked together for two months, and I haven't seen the guy since, but just to see his face, there was just a bit of comfort in that moment, which was nice,' she added.
