Married At First Sight bride Rachel Gilmore has debuted a stunning post-show glow up after undergoing a glamorous hair transformation. The MAFS fan favourite, 35, recently showed off her fresh makeover on social media as she visited a local salon, revealing a noticeably more polished style following her stint on the hit Channel Nine reality series.
Stunning Salon Transformation
Rachel looked radiant in the short clip filmed at the salon, which captured her dramatic before-and-after transformation. The reality star's hair was given extra volume and texture before being expertly coiffed into a glamorous new style that perfectly framed her face. Rachel beamed as she proudly showcased her fresh new 'do to the camera, flaunting the bouncy blow-wave.
Fans were quick to gush over the makeover in the comments section, with many praising Rachel's glowing complexion and sophisticated new look. 'Love the bangs,' gushed Rachel's MAFS co-star Stella Mickunaite. 'Gorgeous as always!' a second person added and third chimed in: 'Lovely hair for a lovely lady.'
Emotional Fallout from Split
Rachel's glow up comes after she and her TV husband Steven Danyluk last month revealed they had split. Rachel was reduced to tears at Daily Mail's Married At First Sight Final Dinner Party in Sydney, as she watched heartbreaking scenes of herself revealing the breakup, while Steven, 34, sat just metres away. The cast reunited at the Ovolo Hotel in Woolloomooloo to watch an episode, which left Rachel in tears.
As the cast was glued to the screen, a throwback Commitment Ceremony scene played. It showed Rachel explaining her fears about the relationship to the experts. 'I'm scared that Steven will go back to his life in Sydney, and it's just going to be easier for him to let me go,' she said in the clip. 'Because he is time poor and he has his business, and so it might be a burden to try and maintain our relationship with me. So, he might just let me go. So, yeah, that's my fear.'
Rachel was reduced to tears as she watched the scene unfold while sitting between Stella Mickunaite and Sam Stanton. It all became too much for Rachel, who leaned her head on Sam's shoulder for support as she wiped tears from her eyes. Meanwhile, Steven, sitting just metres from his former bride, kept his focus firmly on the screen, so as not to make eye contact with Rachel.
Heartbreaking Truth Behind Split
Rachel previously revealed to Daily Mail the heartbreaking truth behind their split. Reliving their Final Vows has been bittersweet for Rachel, who admitted the emotional scenes still hit hard. 'I said yes at the end, it was a really beautiful moment to relive,' she said. 'It just reminded me of how much I was in love with Steven and how much he meant to me… and how much I was willing to give up to be with him.'
While viewers watched their love story play out on screen, Rachel was already dealing with the painful reality behind the scenes. 'It's just really hard to get to this point… rewatching it knowing the total outcome,' she admitted. According to Rachel, the cracks began almost immediately after filming wrapped. Despite making big promises about building a future together, Steven returned to his normal life in Sydney – and never truly showed up for her.
