Madonna marked her 65th birthday with an intimate celebration in Lisbon, Portugal, surrounded by all six of her children. The singer shared glimpses of the festivities on Instagram, including beach outings and a gathering at a church-like venue.
Her children—Lourdes Leon, 26, Rocco Ritchie, 23, David Banda, 17, Mercy James, 17, and twins Stella and Estere, 10—came together to honour their mother. Lourdes performed a song accompanied by David on guitar, with Madonna praising their musical tribute.
Lourdes wore a sheer white two-piece ensemble, echoing her mother's bold style. Madonna herself donned a bejewelled sheer dress with a black bodysuit. Lourdes, a model and singer, released her debut EP 'GO' in 2022.
Madonna is recovering from a serious bacterial infection that hospitalised her in June, delaying the start of her Celebration Tour. The tour, marking 40 years since her debut album, begins on 14 October in London, followed by North American dates from December, concluding in Mexico City on 24 April 2024.
