EastEnders actress Maddy Hill has been spotted arriving at Elstree Studios with a prominent baby bump, ahead of her return to the BBC soap as Nancy Carter. The 36-year-old, who has not publicly announced a pregnancy, wore a bright yellow vest that stretched over her bump and a 'baby on board' badge as she headed to the set.
Return to Walford with Brother Lee
Maddy is set to reprise her role as Nancy alongside on-screen brother Danny Hatchard, 35, who plays Lee Carter. The siblings are expected to make their comeback this autumn, with plot details being kept under wraps. Nancy was last a Walford regular in 2022, leaving after her relationship with Zack Hudson (James Farrar) broke down following his affair with Sam Mitchell (Kim Medcalf).
The pair made a brief appearance in a funeral dream sequence in 2024, but this latest return will see them properly rejoin the action. Their arrival is set to shake up life for their mother, Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), who has endured significant drama during their absence.

Speaking to the BBC after news of her return was confirmed, Maddy said: 'I am SO excited to be returning to Enders for a short stint and stepping back into Nancy's shoes (or basketball shorts!). I've missed her!' She added: 'I'm especially looking forward to seeing lots of familiar faces and acting alongside my incredible on-screen family.'
Maddy and Danny have already been busy filming their new scenes, and the siblings are expected to ruffle feathers as they attempt to slot back into the Carter family fold. With their return shrouded in mystery, viewers will have to wait to discover what brings both Carter siblings home at the same time.
