Love Island star Robyn has clarified an edited scene that misrepresented her reaction to George's unexpected exit from the villa. The 26-year-old DJ from Liverpool faced online criticism after viewers saw her joking about new fit men moments after George's departure was announced.
Robyn Speaks Out About Edited Scene
Robyn revealed that the scene was edited incorrectly. In a clip posted to Instagram, she explained: 'I literally woke up in the morning first thing and said where's George. I can confirm they have edited it wrong. I did not say straight away are we going to get more fit men, I was actually gutted, like genuinely gutted.' She added that her remark came a good 20-25 minutes later, and she was trying to lift the mood after a somber moment.
Fan Reactions and Previous Criticisms
Fans had rushed to social media to criticize Robyn, with one commenting: 'George haven't even left the outside of the villa and Robyn asked for fit men.' Another wrote: 'robyn asking for new fit men before george has even gotten to the airport.' This is not the first time Robyn has criticized the show's editing; she previously claimed some Islanders received a 'bad edit,' including Ope and Angelista.
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
