Love Island's Charleen Murphy Calls Mica 'Fake' After Watching Show Back
Love Island's Charleen Murphy Brands Mica 'Fake' on Aftersun

Dumped Love Island star Charleen Murphy has branded fellow islander Mica as "fake" after viewing the show back, revealing she feels the comments were directed at her appearance.

Irish influencer Charleen entered the villa during Casa Amor as a bombshell and quickly connected with Kavan Murphy, who was taking a break from Jasmine Muller at the time. Their bond was strong enough that Kavan brought her back to the main villa, but things soon fell apart when Kavan confessed he still had feelings for Jasmine. After a rocky period, Charleen was dumped from the island following an unexpected recoupling alongside fellow bombshell Mara.

Charleen's Accusation on Aftersun

Appearing on Love Island's Aftersun, Charleen disclosed there is one "fake" Islander in the villa. When asked by host Maya Jama if there's anyone they're pleased to see the back of, Charleen initially joked about having a drink instead. She then revealed: "There's stuff I've watched now back and Mica saying 'I can't believe he brought that girl back' about me and then to my face she was like 'oh it's nothing about you' but of course it was."

She continued: "It's about how I look and that's not nice, I just wouldn't say that, so I think that's a fake thing to do to come back and say 'it's not about you it's about him', like obviously it was about me if you're saying that."

Maya responded: "So no Mica friendship after the show then?" Charleen confirmed: "Probably not."

Reflection on Villa Experience

Reflecting on her return from Casa Amor, Charleen confessed there had been an "instant energy shift" from Kavan, leaving her feeling "embarrassed and upset." Viewers saw her break down in tears following the first recoupling ceremony. Fans have rallied around the star, with some calling for her to be reinstated. One Instagram user commented: "Miss seeing you on our screens already!" Another wrote: "You did absolutely amazing and everyone is so incredibly proud of you."

Despite the backlash, Mica has also received support. One fan wrote on Instagram: "Girl you were my favorite from the start!!!!" Another commented: "ARE WE ALL WATCHING THE SAME SHOW??? HELLO???? What’s wrong with all of these negative comments. I can’t wait to see more of you Mica!!"

Love Island airs Sunday to Friday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
