New Love Island bombshell Angel Swift reportedly enjoyed secret dates with TOWIE star Dan Edgar weeks before entering the villa. The 26-year-old, whose full name is Angelique Swift, became one of the latest entrants to the ITV dating show this week, immediately turning heads among the 2025 contestants.
According to a report, Angel had struck up the beginnings of a romance with Dan Edgar, 35, who has appeared on ITVBe's The Only Way Is Essex since 2015. Dan famously dated his TOWIE co-star Ella Rae Wise, with the pair beginning a relationship in early 2024 before splitting at the start of this year. A heartbroken Ella later appeared on Celebrity Big Brother.
A friend of Angel told The Sun: 'They were together during one of the May bank holidays in Marbella and spent time hanging out. They were seen at various events, it was casual dating but they had fun together.' However, a friend of Dan countered: 'It was just one date really, and it was after he split from Ella. Dan was very much single at the time.' The Mirror has contacted representatives of Dan and Love Island for comment.
Angel's arrival in the villa has already caused a stir, particularly with Harry Cooksley, 30, who is currently coupled up with Helena Ford, 29. The new bombshell pulled Harry for a chat, and their conversation quickly turned flirtatious. Harry made intense eye contact while discussing mornings, hinting at a more sexual subject, and Angel confessed: 'When I sleep with someone, I get feelings. So I can’t sleep with them because I’m just like, “Ah, I’m in love.”' Harry responded jokingly, 'We might have to hold off on that spoon in the morning then.'
