Love Island 2026 winners Lorenzo Alessi and Julia Majchrzak have split just months after winning the cash prize in Majorca, and the breakup is turning bitter. Lorenzo's father, Marco, has hit out at Julia, accusing her of trying to paint his son as the villain.
Dad's Instagram response
Julia appeared on a Polish podcast, where she was seen in tears describing the split as leaving her feeling "heartbroken". But Marco took to Instagram to repost a clip from the chat and slam her as an attention seeker.
In response, he said: "Calling the Polish press to cry about the break up so Lorenzo can be painted as the villain again…The exact same playbook from the villa. I did not conform to your tears then and I do not conform to them now."
Signs of trouble
The comments come after the pair appeared cosy at the National Television Awards on Tuesday, but fans noticed them fall out as they left the event at London's O2 Arena. News of their demise had been circulating weeks earlier.
A source said: "It’s the usual thing where life outside the villa proves to be too tough a test. Viewers already saw how Lorenzo’s approach to dating was nonchalant to say the least and Julia also had high standards."
Speaking to The Sun, the source added: "It proved to be tricky to square that circle on the outside and things fizzled out last week. They agreed to do the NTAs together as they still get on, there’s no bad blood, and then would consider how to proceed."
Fans speculate
Fans thought they spotted signs of friction between the pair when Lorenzo was caught "liking" pictures of other girls on Instagram. The pair also had a rather awkward interview on This Morning.
At the time, Lorenzo said he planned to take Julia to a rooftop bar to mark their first official date outside the villa, with her asking when it would happen. Lorenzo quickly jumped in to say there was "a lot of planning involved" and joked he could potentially use their couple's £50,000 prize pot for the date. The awkwardness had fans speculating online, wondering if it was a "showmance".
Julia had previously tried to defend their relationship. She said: "That’s natural, people will have doubts. We know what we have got and we believe in ourselves and being there for each other. Watch this space!"
