Love Island Star Hikes Pen y Fan at 3:30am for Sunrise

Anna-May Robey, a 24-year-old former payroll administrator from Swansea known for appearing on the 2023 Winter series of Love Island, fulfilled a long-standing goal by hiking Pen y Fan in Bannau Brycheiniog to watch the sunrise. She woke at 3:30am to make the trek, documenting her journey on social media.

Early Start and Arrival

Robey told viewers it was the earliest she had left the house except for airport trips, hoping the effort would be worth it. Arriving at the mountain an hour later, she expressed excitement but noted fewer hikers than expected. She wondered if she had arrived too late as the sun began to peek through, but she continued, preferring to be a few minutes late rather than walking in the dark.

Stunning Views Despite Missing Peak Sunrise

As she neared the summit, she encountered people walking back down, confirming she had missed the peak sunrise. However, her mood remained high. 'Like, look at this view, it's so gorgeous. The sun is so bright,' she said. 'I'm a little bit gutted because I didn't actually get up here for, like, to see the peak of the sunrise, but it is still gorgeous up here.' She panned her camera to show the views, adding, 'Like, by the sun, I can't really see a lot, but down there it's just stunning.'

Enjoying Coffee and Planning Next Visit

Robey settled in to enjoy coffee she had brought while taking in the remaining sunrise before descending. In her caption, she wrote: 'Next time we will aim to be at the peak for 4.30am, but how gorg!!'
