Love Island All Stars has unveiled a dramatic new twist, with six American bombshells entering the series and being housed in their very own villa. The ITV2 show confirmed the arrival of the USA contestants, who are set to shake up the existing relationships formed in the South African villa.
The new American bombshells are boys Yamen, Carrington and Zac, and girls Sher, Imani and Kyra. While they are initially separated from the UK islanders, presenter Maya Jama will soon bridge the gap. She returns to the main villa to invite a select group of originals for a 'staycation', with the six chosen by the USA bombshells for the so-called 'USA Getaway'.
In a teaser, Maya tells the islanders: "Bet you weren't expecting to see me so soon! I think it's time to shake things up a little bit. You've all been here seeking a second chance at love. I think it's fair to say loyalties have been tested. But ask yourself this, are the connections you've found - or started to build - strong enough? Are you happy? Or could you be happier? Who's ready for an All Stars twist?"
The twist comes at a tense time for Scott van-der-Sluis and Leanne Amaning, following the eviction of Jess Harding and Shaq Muhammad. Leanne landed in the bottom three girls, which rattled Scott. In a conversation after she was saved, Scott admitted he would not have left with her on day 14, prompting Belle to respond: "When you feel like what you have is real… if I felt like I was settled and they left, I'd think, 'Why am I in here?'"
Scott later expressed doubts to the boys about Leanne's reaction, saying: "If it was the other way around I'd have got into bed and been like, 'I'm so glad to still be here with you'... Leanne was so passive with it. She sounded like she didn't care either way." Love Island All Stars continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
