The 31-year-old flight attendant shared a video on Instagram and TikTok asking viewers to refrain from abusive messages.
Blackwell became engaged to Jimmy Presnell, 28, after ending a connection with Trevor Sova in the show's 'pods', where participants communicate without seeing each other. The couple's relationship has faced strain, with arguments over perceived clinginess and comments about other contestants.
In her social media plea, Blackwell acknowledged that viewers have a right to their opinions, saying: 'You guys have every right to have your opinions because let’s be honest - woof.' She added: 'Maybe we can cease the death threats for a minute? I don’t know, just a thought.'
Reactions online have been divided. Some viewers criticised her behaviour, with one writing: 'Chelsea has probably won the title as the most insecure woman on Love is Blind.' Others defended her, including co-star Laura Dadisman, who called her 'one of the kindest, sweetest, most amazing people'. Actor Holly Robinson Peete also expressed support, writing: 'Death threats??? Are you serious? So ridiculous.'
The series finale of Love Is Blind season six is scheduled to air on 6 March. Blackwell's relationship with Presnell remains uncertain, with episodes ending on a cliffhanger.
