Louise Redknapp has marked a major milestone as her eldest son Charley celebrated his 21st birthday. The 50-year-old singer took to Instagram on Sunday to share a carousel of photos documenting her son's life, from babyhood to young adulthood.
In the heartfelt post, Redknapp wrote: 'How did this happen?! my baby is 21 years old today!!!' She added: 'Chaz I am so proud of you and the charming young man you have become, you've been my partner in crime and shadow since day one.'
The former Eternal star, who shares Charley and 16-year-old Beau with ex-husband Jamie Redknapp, also included a light-hearted request: 'I would however like to request that you now at the age of 21 learn how to wash up, turn the lights off and pick your clothes up off the bedroom floor… but maybe we'll get there for next year.'
Charley's father, former footballer Jamie Redknapp, also paid tribute on social media. He shared a series of photos and wrote: '21 today. So proud of the man you're becoming and even prouder to call you not just my son, but my mate.'
Jamie, who is now married to Frida Andersson, praised Charley as a role model to his younger brothers Beau and three-year-old Raphael, adding: 'You're also the best big brother, the way you are with Rapha and Beau melts my heart.'
Louise and Jamie were married from 1998 until their divorce in 2017. Both have remained involved in their sons' lives, and the birthday tributes highlighted the close family bonds.
