Louise Redknapp appeared happy as she enjoyed late summer sunshine on a beach, following reports of her recent breakup. The 51-year-old Eternal singer shared a series of photographs on Instagram on Sunday, showing herself soaking up early evening sun while wearing a green bikini, a wrap-around skirt, and a linen shirt.
Positive Message to Fans
In an accompanying caption, she wrote: "Making the most of the last days of summer, happy bank holiday." A short video clip showed the star smiling as she filmed herself walking up to a mirror in a beachside shop.
Her post received approval from fans and friends, including PR executive Fran Cutler, who responded with flame emojis, and businesswoman Meg Mathews, who reacted with a heart-eyed emoji.
Split from Drew Michael
Reports this month stated that Louise and Drew had ended their two-year romance. A source told The Sun: "Things had been really good between them but it felt like their relationship had run its course and they both thought it was best to move on."
The source added: "It was all very amicable and although it’s never fun when a relationship ends, Louise has thrown herself back into her social life and her busy work schedule."
Previous Marriage and Career
Louise was previously married to footballer Jamie Redknapp from 1998 until 2017. The couple have two sons, Charlie, 22, and Beau, 17. Court papers later revealed that "unreasonable behaviour" of Jamie, 53, was cited as the reason for the split.
Jamie went on to marry Swedish model Frida Andersson in 2018, and they welcomed a son, Raphael, in November 2021. Louise has been in the spotlight since breaking into the charts with Eternal in 1993 and later enjoyed solo success. In 2016, she was a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing, reaching the final with professional dancer Kevin Clifton, but lost to Ore Oduba and Joanne Clifton.
